Mailchimp Introduces Enhanced Popup Forms & New Product Features

Intuit Mailchimp has unveiled a revamped popup forms experience and several new product enhancements designed to help marketers improve lead generation and audience engagement. Built on technology from Intuit’s 2024 Amped acquisition, the new popup forms offer customizable, mobile-first designs that allow businesses to collect zero-party data and create highly personalized marketing campaigns.

The new popup forms come with 80+ fully designed templates, offering unlimited customization for fonts, buttons, colors, imagery, logos, and layout to match brand identity. With dynamic visitor targeting, marketers can trigger popups based on user behavior, increasing conversion rates. These features aim to turn website visitors into long-term customers by providing opt-ins for discounts, free shipping, content downloads, consultations, giveaways, event signups, and more. Early adopters have already seen strong results—Avenova increased its SMS list by 27% in just one month using the updated system.

Beyond popup forms, Mailchimp is rolling out several additional product enhancements. The Meta Lead Ad Integration now enables businesses to sync leads from Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram directly into Mailchimp, streamlining contact management. Marketers can then automate follow-ups and nurture leads with personalized email and SMS campaigns.

An improved Customer Journey Builder simplifies campaign workflows, making it easier for businesses to design customized marketing sequences. Audience management is also getting an upgrade with .xlsx file imports, allowing users to organize contacts more efficiently. For businesses utilizing SMS marketing, Mailchimp has introduced a new feature that lets them insert promo codes directly into SMS messages, driving more engagement and conversions.

To promote these new innovations, Mailchimp has launched "Popup Like It’s Hot," a creative ad campaign inspired by early 2000s hip-hop. The campaign uses a catchy remixed song to highlight the ease of seamless lead generation, reaching audiences across social media, podcasts, and digital platforms.

Mailchimp’s new features will roll out in Australia, Canada, the UK, and the US starting March 8, 2025, following a beta release on February 26, 2025. These updates aim to help businesses grow their email and SMS lists, reduce acquisition costs, and create more personalized marketing experiences.
